Movement research Laboratory in Urhof20 - Kunsthaus am Schneeberg. From May to November 2024.

 

Exploration in the field of movement research and intersectional art in the shape of an ongoing laboratory once per month from May to November. We are going to work in the space of Urhof20 and in the nature around.

We are inviting people, who are courageous to enter the process from the space of unknown, without expectation, ready and open for listening to each other and creating together from that place.
We are aiming to have a space in which each participant will have the possibility to share their ideas, bring in their research and try things. 

Participation in the laboratory is free of charge. The number of places is limited to 8 participants.
Group: multicultural group of ukrainian, austrian and other, focused on body, movement artists and enthusiasts.

During our exploration we also plan to collaborate with artists from other fields like: sound, voice, multimedia etc.

Place: Urhof20/Kunsthaus am Schneeberg/Center for performance art (1 hour from Vienna) - 100 years old building dedicated to art and getting together in the middle of the beautiful Schneeberg area with possibility to sleep there (+supermarket in 3 min walk).

Our intent is to shape an environment that transcends mere physicality, fostering the revelation of one's essence, connection, dialogue between people and cultures.

*For a conclusion of the laboratory we will create a showing in the final event in November. (as a manifestation of collective desires and expressions, providing a mirror to the evolving nature of the participants.)


Participation in the laboratory is free of charge. The amount of places is limited to 12 participants.


About us: we are 2 ukrainian artists living in Austria since the outbreak of the war: Alina and Antonina. We are working on establishing our artistic research and practice in the places where we currently live. Antonina is living and being active in Schneeberg area and Alina is a visual and performance artist based in Vienna. We will be facilitating the group, but the content is to be created at the place by all the participants. Everyone is free to choose their amount of engagement during the process, we only require your presence.

For me this laboratory - is a possibility to arrive. Arrive and discover - what do I want to create from a place of now. It’s a space for inquiry, silence and creation from the place of the deeper truth.
