Exhibition (RE)SONANT MATTER
October 16–18, 2026
Opening: Friday, October 16th, 2026, 7:00 pm
Exhibition open: Saturday & Sunday, 2:00–7:00 pm
With the exhibition (RE)SONANT MATTER, the cultural year 2026 comes together in a shared, condensed survey. Central artistic positions and processes of the year enter into dialogue, making the programme tangible as a spatial, material, and temporal experience.
The exhibition brings together visual art, immersive installation, and documentary media, connecting different formats and working processes developed throughout the year.
Artists & Works
In the foyer, the annual exhibition by Die.Puntigam is presented.
His works move between drawing, conceptual image-making, and medial translation, accompanying the year’s programme as a visual resonant surface in which its various formats overlap and reflect one another.
The exhibition is complemented by ceramic works by Elke Hittinger, whose sculptural objects introduce a tactile, earth-bound dimension to the space, as well as sculptural works by Aaron Beck, addressing materiality, physicality, and process.
In the main hall, the immersive textile installation by Christine Haupt, sonified by Daphne von Schrader, is once again accessible. The installation invites visitors to become part of the resonant environment through touch, movement, and sound, encouraging active exploration of the space. At the same time, it serves as a site for filmic documentation.
On screens, selected film documentations and excerpts from performances presented throughout 2026 are shown. These visual afterimages connect memory, process, and the present moment.
The exhibition opens on Friday evening, 16 October, and is accessible on Saturday and Sunday as an open space for encounter and experience.
(RE)SONANT MATTER – Exhibition is conceived as a moment of concentration and reflection:
a survey in which the artistic lines of the year intersect, condense, and continue to resonate.
